For E.K. Bare, sustainability means a conscious effort to protect and preserve nature’s conditions. By partnering with farms who have long worked to uphold sustainable farming practices, including regenerative agriculture, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to the environment.

Double Dee Farms

Run by the brother-sister team of Jordan Davis and Danielle Carawan, Double Dee Farms is a fourth-generation potato farm. With a potato washing system that recycles and reuses water, this potato farm saves over 130,000 gallons of water each week during harvest season (compared to pumping water from a well).

W.T. Holland & Sons

Run by John Holland and his nephew Logan Holland, W.T. Holland & Sons implement cover cropping with hairy vetch and crop rotation on their fifth-generation potato farm. This protects the soil from erosion, improves soil tilth, and provides weed control.

Ernest Mast Farm

Run by Ernie Mast and his son Dawson Mast, this fourth-generation potato farm uses precision agriculture—like GPS-guided planting, cultivating, and harvesting—to maximize yield and minimize soil compaction.

Regenerative Agriculture

Farming In Harmony with the Land

Regenerative agriculture is the combination of minimizing soil disturbance, diversifying crops, reducing chemical inputs, and integrating livestock for the purpose of improving a farm’s long-term productivity. All of our partner farms use some level of regenerative practices—such as crop rotations, cover crops, or precision agriculture—to encourage ecological health for generations to come.
